8 Gb Vs 12 Gb Ram

S22 Ultra Ram 8GB vs 12GB

Hi All, I just got my S22 Ultra 128GB. I was on the fence virtually getting the phone and missed the preorder costless memory upgrade. With the 256 beingness and then hard to get, I got a 128. Will the divergence in ram be noticeable with this one having 8? I did change the virtual ram to max, merely I don't know if that's used for open groundwork apps or when it runs out of memory entirely. I've never really had a Samsung before simply I know Android usually eats ram. Thank you for your input!

It would be interesting to come across a tech site doing a serious battery life comparing between the 8GB and 12GB models. I suspect information technology should be noticeable every bit RAM consumes quite a lot of power these days and the best fashion to make information technology not do that is to put the device to sleep or power it off. :)

I've been wondering this too. I ordered the 128GB model today for delivery tomorrow, and it wasn't until subsequently that I realised it simply has 8GB RAM vs. 12. Hoping it will be enough. 🤞🏻

I made the same mistake and returned mine after ten days. I call back ram might have a pregnant impact bc the new one I got with 12gb overheats style less and has noticeably amend battery life.

Do y'all know why Samsung has dismissed the 16gb version of the S22 Ultra ? (max 12gb ram even with 512/1024gb variants)

S21 Ultra 512gb was available with 16gb Ram…

8gn of ram is perfectly fine. My s10 had that and it worked swell. I wouldn't be able to tell better having a phone with 8gb vs 12 gb ram tbh since I don't game.

How is your experience with 8GB RAM? Are y'all able to DEX and Smart Television without lag?

Information technology's absolutely fine. I was worried, also, and then did some research after having really bad lag. I e'er had at least 1gb, or more, of ram that was unused when information technology lagged so I knew information technology wasn't tapped out. Turns out it was the Smartview phone transfer that did it. I factory reset my phone and set manually and all the lag is gone. Just as snappy as my S21 Ultra that had 12gb of ram.
